As the sole survivor of the Plymouth-style gin category, this gin is crafted at the historic Black Friars Distillery in Devon, the only gin distillery remaining in Plymouth, operating since 1793.

Its artisanal production methods, which include batch-making using a single copper pot-still from the Victorian era, contribute to its reputation as the 'single malt of gins'.

Plymouth Gin stands out with its slightly sweeter botanicals and the use of soft Dartmoor water, creating a smooth texture and complex flavor that has made it a favorite among connoisseurs and bartenders. Notably, Plymouth Gin was the first gin specified in the Dry Martini recipe published in 1896 and has been a preferred choice in many classic cocktails, including those featured in the “Savoy Cocktail Book.”
